Welcome to Cole Valley, where family is at the heart of everything we do! Meet the McCoy family: James, Josie, Marshal, Makayla, Makenzy, Patricia, and Coleman. Our love for spending quality time together camping inspired us to create something special: our very own campground. Named after our family and paying homage to our region's rich coal mining history,

 

Cole Valley offers a unique blend of recreation and heritage. We've infused touches of our area's past throughout the campground, ensuring an immersive experience for our guests."We take pride in offering top-notch facilities and amenities that cater to all ages. From basketball courts and a whiffle ball field to a sprawling swing set and creek walking trails, there's no shortage of activities to keep everyone entertained. Plus, our custom-built Splash Pad promises endless fun and excitement for the little ones. At Cole Valley, we're dedicated to providing memorable experiences that bring families and friends closer together. We can't wait for you to join us and create lasting memories in our beautiful corner of the world!

Welcome to our brand-new, locally family-owned ATV-friendly campground, where adventure awaits! With 56 full hook-up sites available (50 amp/30 amp), including spacious pull-thru options, there's plenty of room for everyone to settle in comfortably. Each site spans approximately 35 feet in width and 50 feet or more in length, ensuring ample space for your RV or camper.  Secure your spot early as seasonal sites are limited.  Permanent sites are available, contact us for details!

  • Q: Do kids camp for free at Cole Valley Camping?
    A: At Cole Valley Camping, children under the age of 3 camp for free when accompanied by a paying adult. We believe in creating a family-friendly environment where everyone can enjoy the great outdoors without breaking the bank. This offer includes access to our amenities, campfire pits, and organized activities suitable for children. Please note that the free camping for kids offer is limited to a maximum of two children per paying adult. For more information on our camping rates and policies, feel free to reach out to our customer service team.
  • Q: Are dogs allowed at the campground?
    A: Yes! Well-behaved, vaccinated dogs and cats are welcome at Cole Valley Campgrounds. For all sites allowing dogs, there are a limit of two (2) dogs per site. Dogs must always be kept on a leash or tie-out. Dogs must weigh under 70 pounds. Dogs may not be left unattended at any time. Due to regulations, dogs are not permitted in the recreation area, restrooms, showers, or any resort building unless they are certified service dogs. Animals may not be tethered to utility fixtures. Animal waste must be picked up by the pet owner immediately. Dogs must be under control at all times for the safety of all guests. Owners may be asked to remove aggressive, uncontrolled, or constantly barking dogs from the property at any time. Dogs may be rinsed with water only (no soap) on sites.
  • Q: How old must a person be to rent a site?
    A: The registered guest responsible for the unit/site must be at least 18 years of age and must provide valid government-issued photo identification at the time of check-in. That person must remain on-site for the duration of the reservation.
  • Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?
    These times apply to all reservations CHECK-IN TIME: 2:00 PM the day of arrival and CHECK-OUT TIME is 12:00 PM the day of departure
  • Q: Can I check-in early or check-out late?
    A: This is permitted only if other reservations allow for it. You must call in advance for availability. $5.00/hour for campsites(RV/Tent)
  • Q: What are the quiet hours rules?
    A: Quiet hours are to be observed from 11:00PM to 8:00AM. All children must be at their own site by 11:00PM. Generators, diesel engines, and bright exterior lighting may not operate during quiet hours. The recreation areas close at 9:00 PM or dusk, whichever comes first. No loud music, excessive noise, or disorderly conduct will be tolerated. No day visitors during quiet hours.
  • Q: What is your cancellation policy?
    A: RV Site and Tent Policy: You will receive a full refund if you cancel more than 72 hours prior to your check-in time for your stay. If you cancel within 72 hours of your check-in time for your stay you will receive no refund. From the time you cancel, it may take 7-14 days for the refund to show in your account. If it takes longer than that, please contact your bank or credit card company. Your refund is processed by our reservation system as soon as the reservation is canceled. We do not have control on how long the payment processor or the bank takes to refund the money to you. Reservations made after these deadlines require non refundable deposits. Cancellations made after deadlines will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Holidays and special events may have special deposit and/or cancellation requirements. Special conditions may apply during high-demand periods and special events. Please note that camping is an outdoor activity. No refunds for canceling due to weather or early departures.
  • Q: What is your alcohol policy?
    A: All state/federal laws apply. Alcoholic beverage consumption is restricted to those 21 or older. Excessively loud, combative, belligerent, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated at any time. Drink responsibly. Beer kegs are not permitted.
  • Q: Can I bring my own firewood?
    A: Cutting or trimming of trees is prohibited. Firewood is sold at the store. Due to issues surrounding devastating invasive species, all firewood must be purchased on-site. For more information on invasive species, visit https://www.ohioforest.org/page/Invasive.
  • Q: Are grills provided for cooking?
    A: Charcoal grills are provided at each cabin unit. Fire cooking is permitted in provided fire pits at each site. Personal charcoal and propane grills are permitted. Please do not place small grills or anything hot on the picnic tables as they will burn and you will be charged a damage fee.
